One Plus 5 Review – A True Flagship Experience in Low Budget

It hasn’t been long since the young, small company made a stir in the market. One Plus doesn’t have access to ultra high-end tech like other companies but makes up for this shortcoming by actually listening to its core consumer base. It has delivered yet again with the One Plus 5! It is a beast inside with 8 GBs of RAM and an octa-core CPU. An eye candy outside with its sleek yet solid build, it features the new addition of a Dual camera!

Display- Packs an Optic AMOLED screen; it literally turns off the pixels to give out pitch black blacks, means a better battery life. A 5.5 inch screen with 1080p display, 401 PPI. Brightness level can be adjusted so that you don’t have to struggle neither outdoors in matters of reflection, nor indoors as there is night mode which is easy on your eyes.

Performance – Carrying a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset, with a beast of an Octa-core CPU (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) giving you smooth performance, Adreno 540 GPU which gives the ultimate gaming experience, has 8 or 6 GBs of RAM, 64 or 128 GBs of memory, thus it can handle multiple apps without a hiccup.
Connectivity- GSM / CDMA / HSPA / LTE, 3g and 4g with 34 bands in total are supported. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11, DLNA, latest Bluetooth 5.0 with better range, GPS, NFC; wired connectivity includes USB 2.0 type C reversible connector with dash charging and a 3.5 mm jack.

Software – Comes with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the Oxygen OS utilizing stock android with useful tweaks in the software for a brilliant user experience.

Camera- The one plus has a dual camera, the primary being 16 MP, f/1.7, 24mm, EIS (gyro) with electronic image stabilization providing wider shots and clicking the sharpest of snaps and the secondary being 20 MP, f/2.6, 36mm as a telephoto sensor specializing in portrait clicking, the dynamic range is great and with help of the snapdragon it can handle multiple exposures, process images superfast in high resolution. The front camera is 16 MP with f/2.0 and auto HDR.

Built and Battery- Featuring a full metal unibody design which is available in gorgeous matte black or slate grey, with a thickness of just 7.3 mm, rounded and curved design along with metal and hard glass give a comfortable and durable feel. The superfast fingerprint scanner is on front, alert slider and volume rocker on the left and dual sim slot on the right. It packs a 3300 mAh battery with dash charging which enables you to quickly get back up as soon as you run out of juice.

The phone does quite well in terms of responsiveness and performance and feels like a flagship phone in and out but all that with a reasonable price tag.
